Not Country Enough…….Hogwash !!!

Not Country Enough…….Hogwash !!!When Ben Walker released his collaboration with Aimee Hannan, he was unsure as to how the Country fraternity would take the song. Would it be accepted in the manner it was meant? Tongue in cheek. Would Country Radio like and play it? It’s obvious now all his concerns were totally unfounded.
With thanks to radio presenters across Australia, “Just Not Country Enough” is receiving great airplay and has been showcased on ABC Country’s “Edge of Country” show and is currently charting on the Country Radio Chart.

Acclaimed song writers across the country have called us at CS Management to heap praise on the quirky writing of the song, remarking at it’s cleverness, not to mention the teaming with the amazing talents of Aimee Hannan.

In the meantime, Ben is working toward his ticketed show at the Tamworth Regional Gallery during Festival, Tuesday 23rd January at 6pm. If you would like to attend you can book here:

Just Not Country Enough

Ben Walker Enlists Aimee Hannan for New Release
Returning with his third song of the year, chart topping Ben Walker teams up with Aimee Hannan, to deliver an upbeat pop-country track asking if he’s “Just Not Country Enough”.

The track, recorded at Sing-Sing studios in Melbourne with producer Thomas Keating, is overflowing with stella musicianship with Callum Edwards on Bass, Dan Berry – drums, Thomas Keating – guitar and Michael Flanders on Pedal Steel). Add in the beautifully contrasting vocals from Aimee and Ben and this song will have you tapping and singing along.

Talking about “Just Not Country Enough”, Ben says “It’s a fun upbeat crowd pleaser, but it is challenging a bit all those folks who like to throw up barriers and tell people they can’t do something because they aren’t this or that. In my case, I’m an Englishman who loves Country and folk music and all that Australian nature has to offer – I wouldn’t last five minutes outside my comfy studio or office but I love this country and its music, and I’m proud to be raising a family here in Australia.”.

Available through: CRS Publicity, Mustang Radio Services, AMRAP and all streaming Platforms.

New Single for Ben Walker Well Received

New Single for Ben Walker Well Received The latest release from Ben Walker “Meant To Be” seems to be making its mark with radio and video watchers alike. The comments from radio stations have certainly been encouraging considering Ben was extremely nervous about how this song would be received.
Ben says ” I’ll admit to still being a little nervous – it’s a song I’m very proud of but its not the pop country that so many stations are playing now.”
Perhaps Ben’s nervousness is a tad misplaced given the comments we have received and the fact that the song on YouTube attracted over 1,000 hits in the first few days of release, now eight days later over 2,000. The video was produced and edited by Ben himself and carries the essence of the song well.
If you are playing the song we’d love to hear from you.
Wherever the song takes Ben from here, it’s “Meant To Be”.
Available through CRS Publicity, AMRAP and all streaming platforms.

Thought Provoking Release From Ben Walker

Following his number one hit “I Won’t Forget”, Ben Walker is today releasing his latest single that is sure to set you thinking. Beautifully crafted in the studio by Thomas Keating, “Meant To Be” carries Ben’s haunting vocals and well penned lyrics reminding us that history does repeat.

Ben explains ““Meant to Be” was inspired by conversations with musicians and songwriters from a variety of backgrounds and has its roots in rich research into the barriers people face every day and the social history that inspired songs by prominent writers such as Bob Dylan, and Sam Cooke. The song asks listeners why a world of equality isn’t “Meant to be” and why news headlines from past generations could so easily be re-used today.”

Available through CRS Publicity, AMRAP and all streaming platforms.

“I Won’t Forget” enjoys wide chart success.

This week has seen “I Won’t Forget” enter its third week in the Top Three in the AMRAP Metro Chart, #1 in the auscountry.com.au chart and debuted at #34 on the Country Radio Chart.

Co-written with Allan Caswell, Beth Lucas and Stephen Dobson, it has been well documented that the song was written in response to Ben’s mothers Alzheimer diagnosis last year. An extremely personal song beautifully reflected in the official video ((2) Ben Walker: “I Won’t Forget” – YouTube), it was a semi-finalist in the International Song Writing Contest last year with the video produced by Jay Seeney’s Blacklist Productions.

The Australian Alzheimer Research Association have published an article on the song which can be viewed here:
https://alzheimers.com.au/a-song-to-say-i-love-you/ Ben is hugely grateful the song has been acknowledged by them as well as receiving extensive radio play.

Ben is regularly applauded for the strong connection he makes with live audiences. He can be seen at Sappho Bar in Glebe, Sydney on Wednesday April 26th at 7.30pm.
